Economy Parking Advisory

‚ÄčEffective Sunday, September 23, beginning at 12:00 AM, there will be 2 bus routes serving Economy Parking in order to provide quicker service to and from the Airport terminals. The Red Route will serve Shelters 8 through 16 (parking aisles A through M).  The Blue Route will serve bus Shelters 1 through 7 (parking aisles X through Y). Please be sure to check and remember which route you are on. For further assistance, contact the Philadelphia Parking Authority at PHL at 215-683-9842.

The African American Museum, founded in 1976 as part of Philadelphia's celebration of the United States Bicentennial, is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and interpretation of African and African American culture. Major components of the Museum's programming include African history, current events, the African Diaspora which celebrates the lineage and culture shared by people of African ancestry, as well as Philadelphia's legacy-the people and events that have influenced regional culture, American culture, and world culture.

The Museum's permanent collection features over 500,000 objects, images, and documents. The collection ranges from utilitarian and domestic artifacts to fine arts, folk art, memorabilia, furnishings, textiles, photographs, and books. Its subject matter is diverse and includes African culture, American slavery and emancipation, the Civil Rights movement, the arts, entertainment, sports, military, politics, and religion.
