Drawing from centuries of Puerto Rican and Latin American art and culture, Taller Puertorriqueño is the premier Latino Cultural Center in the region.
A major educational component of Taller Puertorriqueño is its extensive permanent collection of original prints by contemporary Puerto Rican and Latino artists. The majority of the prints are carteles or posters, a traditional and historically important graphic art form that provided an inexpensive way for artists to mass-produce their work. The posters, which announce and document specific issues or events, provide a unique insight into the Puerto Rican and Latino experience and its rich cultural heritage.
