Philadelphia artist Leah Reynolds is known for her work with fabric-specifically cheesecloth, a lightweight translucent material that she transforms into large-scale, three-dimensional abstractions. Typically, Reynolds's work features a combination of suspended and freestanding objects that collectively create a singular installation or overall perception.

Furl is a series of playful, brightly painted elements that describe a celebratory experience such as a party, parade, or carnival. Some of the more sculptural, freestanding objects are reminiscent of props or costumes, while the elements that are suspended appear to be swirling through the air like streamers or strands of confetti. This energetic composition is a celebration of color and forms poised for revelry.
