Terminal F, Concourse 2

Ron Tarver is well versed in photographing Philadelphia. Since 1983, he has worked as a professional photojournalist for the Philadelphia Inquirer. In addition to photojournalism, Tarver is also a fine art photographer. He is particularly interested in the landscape and architecture of Philadelphia. Tarver's photographs of the city are not pure documentation. They are timeless, romantic, dreamy, and mysteriously void of people. Often shooting at night, Tarver's images are captured through long exposures making many of the details blurry. The images are further altered during the printing process as each photograph is hand toned and printed on matte paper to create the illusion of an exquisitely rendered drawing.
