Philadelphia International Airport Seattle based ceramist Patti Warashina has created a memorable collection of ceramics since she began working with the medium in the early sixties. Today, she is among America's most well known ceramic sculptors. Her work has always been about telling stories, often humorous narratives, that primarily depict exaggerated figures in dream-like situations-sometimes domestic, sometimes otherworldly. Warashina's images are highly animated in content, color scheme, and surface decoration.
