Kenneth Gamble & Leon Huff

Philadelphia is proud to be the home of music legends Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff, pioneers of the Rhythm and Blues genre of the 70's known as "The Sound of Philadelphia." In 1971, Gamble and Huff founded the now famous record label Philadelphia International Records where they created a sound and a vision based on messages of love, peace, empowerment, pride, and strength. Kenneth Gamble has described his first writing session with Leon Huff, "Ten songs in one sitting and it has been like that ever since."

Their prolific repertoire of over 3,000 songs include instantly recognizable hits-"Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now," "Back Stabbers," "Don't Leave Me This Way," "Enjoy Yourself," "If You Don't Know Me By Now," "Lady Love," "Love Train," "Me and Mrs. Jones," "Use Ta Be My Girl," "You Make Me Feel Brand New," "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine," and "When Will I See You Again?"

For over 3 decades, Gamble and Huff's music has captivated people from all generations, all over the world. With countless classics, international acclaim, and their continuing legacy, Gamble and Huff have made an indelible contribution to the world of music and the city of Philadelphia.
