The Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts

Youth Art Gallery, between Terminals D and E
December 15, 2000 - May 2001

The Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts, also known as "CAPA," is the only magnet high school for the arts and academics in the Philadelphia School District. CAPA offers advanced instruction in the following major areas: Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Instrumental Music, Visual Arts, and Vocal Music.

Every year, approximately 95 to 99 percent of CAPA's graduates go on to college. The academic and arts curriculum prepares students for further study at some of the finest liberal arts colleges, creative and performing arts colleges, and music conservatories.

This exhibition features two-dimensional artwork from the Visual Arts Program including commercial art, graphic art, painting, and drawing. Special thanks to the following teachers at CAPA-Richard Cohen, Commercial Art; John Sebastian, Graphic Art; Jacqueline Kunin, Painting and Drawing; and Dorothy Roschen, Ceramic and Sculpture.
