Stephen Talasnik: Inventing the Real, Sculpture and Drawings

Terminal C

Stephen Talasnik, a native Philadelphian, initially had aspirations of becoming an architect or engineer-careers that stemmed from his childhood fascination of drawing futuristic cities and renderings of work by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright. But it was his study of the fine arts, drawing and sculpture, which enabled Talasnik to creatively express his inherent interests in architecture and engineering. Today, Talasnik's large-scale drawings and model-like sculptures are a continuation of his vision which he refers to as "aesthetics of invention."
