TERMINAL D-E EXPANSION
This $330 million project consists of a new multi-level connector building between Terminals D and E, a 50,000 square foot addition to the Terminal E concourse, a 9000 square foot connector building between Baggage Claims D and E, and various renovations to areas within the two terminals and the adjacent Satellite Thermal Plant.
Phases 1A and 1B are the new multi-level connector building between Terminals D and E. The first level houses a new baggage make-up area, which replace the existing areas in each of the terminals. This area also contains an Explosive Detection System (EDS) to be operated by the TSA as part of an in-line baggage screening system. The second level is a 14-lane passenger security screening area serving both terminals. The third level houses Division of Aviation offices and has a space for an airline club. Phase 1A that consisted of site work, building foundations, utility relocation and structural steel placement for the connector building is complete. Phase IB includes the building envelope, interior finishes, furniture, etc. to complete the connector building.
Phase 2 modifications include an increase of 23 ticket counter positions with larger queuing spaces, increased public circulation, new concessions, other tenant spaces and work associated with the D and E Bag Claim facilities. The Bag Claim buildings for Terminals D and E will be connected with a one-story addition that will contain two new baggage carousels with renovations within the existing D and E Bag Claims
Terminal E Concourse will be expanded in Phase 3 with the construction of a 2-level addition at the end of the concourse. Airline Operations space will be at ground level. The second level will provide hold rooms, concessions, rest rooms and operations space to accommodate three new gates and four relocated gates.

TERMINAL A-EAST IN LINE BAGGAGE SYSTEM
This $45 million project will install a Checked Baggage Inspection System (CBIS) in Terminal A-East and upgrade the existing CBIS serving the east half of Terminal A-West to comply with the latest TSA standards.

RUNWAY 9R-27L REHABILITATION
Pavement replacement of Runway 9R-27L will extend the life of the runway in this $35 million project. Replacement of runway lighting systems is also included.

TAXIWAY REHABILITATION PHASE 2
Phase 2 includes the reconstruction of portions of Taxiways H, K, K3, N, S and W with Portland cement concrete pavement and replacement of associated taxiway centerline lighting. This $14 million project also includes the construction of a new card access security gate at Gate 18.

TERMINAL A-EAST IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 2
This $13.8 million project includes a number of aesthetic upgrades and improvements to public information and life safety systems throughout Terminal A-East. Terminal A-East is being renovated so that its appearance is more consistent with the newly constructed International Terminal complex (Terminal A-West). Aesthetic improvements include new ceilings, lighting, carpet, hold-room seating, and decorative enclosures around concrete columns. Public information and life safety improvements include replacing the existing terminal announcement system, upgrading the fire protection system and elevator recall system, providing new multi-use flight information displays, and installing visual paging displays throughout the terminal.

TERMINAL A-EAST RECHECK SCREENING AREA PHASE 3
Phase 3 will convert the Baggage Screening Area, which currently uses stand alone screening machines, into a fully integrated mini-inline Checked Baggage Inspection System. Installation of a new baggage make-up carousel is also included in this $9.5 million project. The new carousel will help improve the productivity of US Airways baggage to transport to departing aircraft.

REPLACEMENT OF S-SUBSTATIONS
Replacement of six substations that provide power to Concourses B, C and D is included in this $9 million project. The existing substations are outdated and costly to maintain.

RESDENTIAL SOUND INSULATION PROGRAM PHASE 3B
The Residential Sound Insulation Program (RSIP) provides acoustical treatment of residential homes adjacent to the airport that have been determined by the FAA to be adversely affected by the sound of aircraft operations. The treatment includes replacement of existing windows and doors, insulation in attics where needed, and installation of air conditioning systems to allow residents to keep their windows and doors closed during warm weather. 137 homes were treated in Phase 3A. 134 homes will be treated in Phase B of this $6 million project.

ADDITION OF PRE-CONDITIONED AIR UNITS TO TERMINAL A-EAST
This $4.5 million project includes the addition of Pre-conditioned Air Units to 11 gates in Terminal A-East. The PC Air Units are a more environmentally efficient way of adding air to aircraft. A new substation is being added to support the additional power requirements.

CARGO CITY APRON RECONSTRUCTION
Demolition of existing concrete and replacement with pavement is included in this $1.9 million project. The taxiway centerline and edge light system is being replaced at Taxiway J1.

ROADWAY SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS
This $1.7 million project consists of 5 tasks for repairs and improvements to the landside roadway system. Task 1 is the replacement of a 122 linear-foot section of barrier wall and trench drain along the north side of the Airport Departures Road. Task 2 includes improvements of Garage Entrance Road: speed bumps and turn lanes for Garages A-B, D-E and F. Task 3 is miscellaneous repairs and improvements including enhanced pavement markings, turtle fence along the Departures Road, pavement repairs and cleaning of the Terminal E Tunnel, and utility structure repairs. Task 4 includes repairs to the SEPTA platform handrails and patching of spalled concrete at posts. Task 5 is the construction of approximately 875 linear feet of 5-foot wide concrete sidewalk along the Departures Road.

OVERHEIGHT VEHICLE DETECTION SYSTEM PHASE 2
In an effort to deter vehicles over the height of 12’6” from entering the Airport Departures Road, phase 2 will install two vehicle detection systems and three variable message signs on the I-95 ramps. Sign modifications are also included in this $1.5 million project.

AIRFIELD PERIMETER ROAD PHASE 1
Phase 1 of this $1.4 million project consists of the new construction of approximately one mile of 24-foot wide, bituminous service road within the secure area of the Airport. Major items of work include clearing and grubbing, embankment, drainage, crushed aggregate base course, bituminous pavement and pavement markings. The new road consists of a longer segment around the end of Runway 27R and a shorter segment connecting the FBO apron to an existing service road.
