take-offs and landings in 2005, PHL was the 9th busiest airport in the
world.
- PHL handled 31.5
million passengers in 2005, more than 3 times the number of adults and young
adults living in the state of Pennsylvania.
- PHL averaged more than
86,000 passengers daily in 2005, almost double the capacity of Citizens Bank
Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies.
- PHL moved more than
600,000 tons of cargo and air mail in 2005, nearly 4,000 times the weight of
the Statue of Liberty.
- PHL's seven terminals,
occupying 2,415,000 square feet, are nearly four times the size of Lincoln
Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles.
