PHL has two educational play areas designed with the needs of younger travelers in mind.

The Aviation Play Station in Terminal D features interactive displays specifically designed to introduce children to the exciting world of aviation. Hands-on items include a jumbo jet where children can get inside to be both passengers and crewmembers, and a smaller plane featuring hand controls where children can activate a spinning propeller.

Ready For Takeoff in Terminal A-East also includes a jumbo jet, along with a control tower and tug. Children can pretend to be pilots, passengers, drivers or air traffic controllers. Radios in the tower and jetliner allow them to transmit to each other.
