| Philadelphia International Airport Project Manager Wins
Award
Allan Moore, Airport
Projects Manager for Philadelphia International Airport, was recently named
2001 Philadelphia Young Government Engineer of the Year by the
American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Philadelphia
Chapter.
The award recognizes
Allan for his outstanding work in the civil engineering field and his
contribution to the civil engineering profession.
Allans
responsibilities include management of multiple projects at both Philadelphia
International Airport and Northeast Philadelphia Airport from inception through
design to construction completion.
Prior to coming to
Philadelphia International Airport in 1990, he worked as a Project Engineer in
the Aviation Department of Urban Engineers, Inc.
Allan is a 1988 graduate
of Drexel University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and he is also a
registered Professional Engineer in the state of Pennsylvania. He currently
serves as the Vice President of the Philadelphia Section, ASCE and has formerly
served as the Sections Membership Secretary.
His professional
memberships include: Member, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE);
Member, Airfield Pavement Technical Committee of Air Transport Division, ASCE;
Member, Young Member Forum of Philadelphia Section, ASCE; and Vice-President,
Philadelphia Section, ASCE.

the Citys Director of Aviation said, I cant think of anyone
more deserving of this award than Allan. His recognition by the Philadelphia
Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers reflects well not only on
Allan and the entire professional engineering community, but it also gives a
positive image of the Airport and the individuals who keep it running through
their hard work and dedication.

Civil Engineers is Americas oldest national engineering society with more
