Atlantic Aviation Facility Wins Bureau of Aviation Award
The Atlantic Aviation facility at Philadelphia International Airport
has been named a winner in the Pennsylvania Bureau of Aviation's annual awards
contest. Atlantic is the recipient of the 2003 Fixed Base Operator Award.
Atlantic Aviation has been providing services such as fueling, line
services, hangar storage and office space to corporate and private aviation
customers for nearly half a century. Operating out of a 3-year-old
state-of-the-art facility at the east end of the Airport, the Atlantic FBO
features top-notch amenities such as conference rooms, private phone carrels
with data ports, a comfortable pilot lounge, and a weather-planning office. A
concierge service offers specialized assistance to all travelers, and
limousines and complimentary shuttles to hotels and restaurants are also
available.
"We congratulate Atlantic Aviation on this well-deserved
honor," said Charles J. Isdell, the City's Director of Aviation. "Through the
years, Atlantic has provided outstanding service to the Airport's general
aviation community. They have a great staff, and their safety record is
excellent. We're fortunate to have a fixed-base operator with Atlantic
Aviation's reputation."
The Bureau also named Airport Manager Mark
Gale "Facility Manager of the Year" and Drexel University's Aviation Management
Program "Aviation Outreach/Awareness Program of the Year."
The
recipients received their awards at the Pennsylvania Aviation Conference awards
luncheon in Johnstown, Pa., on October 23.
