On Friday, October 2, 2020 the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) hosted its eighth annual Business Opportunity Forum (Forum). This year’s Forum, similar to previous years, was held in conjunction with the City of Philadelphia’s Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week.
On behalf of the PHL and all of our participating Forum partners, thank you for helping to make our Virtual Forum a truly special event! While the pandemic certainly impacted our ability to connect with you in-person, we stayed focused on our Nonstop Support and commitment to keep you informed about PHL’s activities and opportunities by hosting this year’s Forum online.
Over 380 participants, representing businesses and partnering agencies attended the Forum, which included a Welcome Reception, General Session, 11 Breakout Sessions (covering 9 topics), and a Closing Question and Answer session. Based on attendee feedback the Forum was an overwhelming success. Of the participants registered: 62% represented minority or women-owned business enterprises; while 31% are currently under contract with the Airport. This was the first PHL Business Opportunity Forum for 41% of those that attended.
Thank you for attending the 2020 Business Opportunity Forum.
