Hospitality Program

Severe weather, from summer’s thunderstorms to winter’s blizzards, can alter travel plans. Even when it is sunny in Philadelphia, weather events in other destinations can cause flight delays and cancellations at PHL. Aircraft mechanical and crew issues can also impact travel. Passengers should always check with their airlines for the most recent flight updates. PHL’s hospitality program is in place to make travelers as comfortable as possible, especially when they have to spend more time than expected at the airport. Information counter staff are available 24 hours a day to assist passengers in need. Many restaurants and retail outlets are open from 4:15 a.m.-9:30 p.m. (click here for a complete list of PHL shops and restaurants and their hours of operation); however, La Colombe and Today in Terminal C are open 24 hours a day.  

Overnight Hospitality 


In the event passengers find themselves at PHL overnight, Passenger Services staff has toiletries, snacks and water to distribute. In cases of extreme weather, mechanical or crew delays or cancellations, when airlines reach out to PHL before 9 p.m., the Airport will set up its “Snooze Zone” with cots, blankets, pillows, toiletry kits, water and snacks in the A/B Terminal Connector area, from 11 p.m.-5 a.m. The “Kidz Snooze Zone”, with  video and board games, is also provided in the A/B Connector “Ready for Take-Off" play area (children must be accompanied by a parent).     

Dietary Needs  

Restaurants and vendors in all PHL terminals offer a variety of menus for passengers’ dietary needs. Locations and menus are searchable and can be found here.  

Mamava Nursing Suites 

Mamava nursing suites—four-by eight foot self-contained, mobile pods, with comfortable benches,  fold-down tables, electrical outlets and doors that can be locked for privacy—are available at no charge. Mamava suites are located post-security in Terminal A-West, the B/C Connector and Terminal F.  

Charging Stations/ Free WiFi

Free WiFi, provided by AT&T, is available throughout PHL. Guests can also charge their electronic devices at stations, cubes, tables and outlets located in every terminal.  For a list of charging locations, click here.

PHL is 1.5 miles from Terminals A West through F.  Along the way, there are art exhibits featuring the work of local artists and cultural institutions that explore the unique flavor of the Greater Philadelphia region; a take one/leave one library and short story dispenser.
