Philadelphia International Airport’s (PHL) Restroom Renovation Program has been awarded the 2023 March of Dimes Mission Award for its intentionally inclusive design towards traveling mothers. Aviation Pros: PHL Receives $30 Million from Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Terminal Program

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) was highlighted in an article by Aviation Pros, a leading publisher in the aviation industry, for receiving $30 million in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grants to support its Restroom Renovation Program and Terminal Energy Optimization Program (TEOP). The funding will help to modernize PHL's restrooms with smart technology, private nursing suites, and other amenities, and support the TEOP's efforts to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. Wheelchair Travel: 18 Airports in the USA That Have Adult Changing Tables

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), was featured in an article by Wheelchair Travel, a travel blog sharing resources on accessibility across the world. The article notes that PHL opened an adult changing room in August 2022 as part of a larger restroom renovation project . The facility features a fixed-height platform with grab bars, as well as an accessible toilet and sink. PHL is planning to add three more adult changing facilities in terminals C, E, and F as part of future phases of the Restroom Renovation Program. The article demonstrates the positive steps that airports are taking to enhance the accessibility and comfort of all passengers and highlights the efforts that PHL is making to support its guests with disabilities. PHL Receives $24 Million from Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the 2022 Airport Terminal Program

In 2022, PHL was awarded $24 million to support phases 5-9 of the Restroom Renovation Program. Renovating 30 existing restrooms and contributing an additional 13,000 square feet of restroom space to the airport, the project will make a major impact on customer experience within the terminal.
