PHL Teamwork Makes the Dream Work - Paradies Lagarde Brand Associate Lina Kheloui

Paradies-Lagardere Brand Associate Lina Kheloui enjoys interacting with travelers. Her positivity earned her recognition from her manager, and the “Teamwork Makes the Dream Work” award from Philadelphia International Airport’s (PHL) Employee Recognition Program. This award acknowledges employees who enhance the guest experience through exemplary service and collaboration with various teams. Their commitment to delivering outstanding results significantly contributes to the overall success of PHL.

As a Brand Associate, Kheloui works in several Paradies-Lagardere operated stores, providing shoppers with excellent customer service. She works the 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. shift and has been at PHL for over two years. One of Kheloui’s most memorable moments at the airport was when she participated in PHL Food & Shops' RunwayPHL event.

Kheloui is currently a student pilot. She has completed her Private Pilot License (PPL) and is pursuing a Commercial Pilot License (CPL). She’s also a certified professional lifeguard and swimming instructor. Aviation intrigues Kheloui, who hopes to build a career in the field one day. “I love discovering and exploring airplanes,” she said. “As a student pilot, it's fascinating to learn and explore the world of aviation. I dream of building my hours to become an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and work with American Airlines. I want PHL to be my base in the future.”

In his nomination of Kheloui, Paradies-Lagardere Manager Zakaria Saber stated, “Lina is truly an exceptional individual. She brings positivity and dedication to our team daily, making the workplace more enjoyable. Her professionalism, kindness, and willingness to lend a hand inspire us all to be better colleagues.”

“I enjoy the airport’s energy, it’s exciting,” said Kheloui. “The most meaningful part of my job is being able to help people while using my fluency skills. I speak four languages: Berber, Arabic, French, and English. I love communicating with people from different nationalities.”

Kheloui enjoys working in Philadelphia and the abundance of opportunities in the city.  She and her colleagues collaborate by communicating openly and supporting one another. “I appreciate their dedication and positive attitude,” she said. “Their diverse perspectives and skills enrich our work.”

At PHL, Kheloui demonstrates values of customer-centrism, prioritizing passenger needs, teamwork, courage, integrity, effectiveness, proactive communication, transcending expectations, and respect.

“One of the most valuable skills I've learned that continues to help me in my job is being professional and the in-depth training I received from my Paradies-Lagardere General Manager Hamid Larbi,” said Kheloui. “He provided me with detailed training and helped me develop a profound understanding of my role.  I thank him for his hard work, training, advice, and support! I feel more capable thanks to him.”

The PHL Employee Recognition Program was established by the airport’s Guest Experience (GX) Department. Honorees are nominated by their peers and selected by the GX Council Steering Committee’s Employee Conduct and Recognition Committee.
