Philadelphia International and Northeast Philadelphia Airports (PHL/PNE) hosted the 11th Annual Business Opportunity Forum on September 26th, 2023, where small and diverse businesses, large businesses, and stakeholders in the Philadelphia area met to understand the dynamics of doing business at PHL, learn about anticipated opportunities, and network.
The event included an opening session, three panel sessions, and networking. Participants heard from dynamic speakers from the Division of Aviation and our partners.
After hosting the last three Forums virtually, the Airport team was thrilled to host this year's event in person. It is obvious that we were not the only ones looking for face-to-face connections. There were nearly 400 attendees at the Forum, consisting of businesses; local, regional, and federal governmental agencies; and supportive service organizations. Approximately 300 of those attendees represented for-profit businesses. Sixty-six percent of those business representatives were from minority or women-owned business enterprises. Additionally, of the attendees that completed the Evaluation Survey, 98 percent responded that the Forum provided a better idea of the Department of Aviation’s diversity and small business commitments and 93 percent responded that the Forum provided useful information on opportunities.
