Philadelphia International Airport and Northeast Philadelphia Airport (PHL/PNE) hosted the 12th Annual Business Opportunity Forum on Friday, October 11, 2024. The Business Opportunity Forum gave small and diverse businesses, large enterprises, and stakeholders in the Philadelphia area the opportunity to understand the dynamics of doing business at PHL and PNE, learn about anticipated opportunities, and network.
There were over 400 attendees at the Forum, consisting of businesses; local, regional, and federal governmental agencies; and supportive service organizations. Approximately 300 of those attendees represented for-profit businesses. Seventy percent of those business representatives were from minority or women-owned business enterprises.
As Philadelphia gears up to celebrate the nation's 250th birthday in 2026, the region will host major events including the FIFA World Cup, Major League Baseball All-Star Game, PGA Championship, and NCAA Men's Division 1 Basketball games. Attendees joined us to discover the latest initiatives and opportunities as our airports prepare to welcome global visitors for these high-profile events and more. The event included an opening session, three panel sessions, and networking. Participants heard from dynamic speakers for the City of Philadelphia, the Department of Aviation and our partners.
Thank you again for joining us.
We hope to see you at next year's Business Opportunity Forum!
