Philadelphia artist NDA works in a variety of mediums from painting and illustration to sculpture and installation art. NDA exhibits his work in spaces that include galleries, but more often he shows his work publicly as a muralist and street artist. NDA’s artistic style is characterized by his use of large-scale canvas cut-outs that overlap and intertwine to create depth and dimensionality.

His bold, pattern-filled shapes are painted double-sided with intense saturated colors to activate the art from different vantage points. NDA’s dense compositions of layered shapes also feature apertures that enable viewers to see-through the forms from one to the other. The openings also function as viewfinders framing selected areas that enhance the artwork’s overall visual complexity.

NDA’s aesthetic—his use of cut-outs, patterned shapes, and bright colors, are undeniably energetic and playful. There is a sense of curiosity and an allure that his work captures that create inviting, magical landscapes for ones imagination to wander through.
