In summer 2026, American will offer 20 daily flights to 19 transatlantic destinations from PHL. The airline will offer the only nonstop service to BUD from the U.S.
"It's a privilege to connect Philadelphia to the world with unparalleled access to more than 120 global destinations and we`re excited to strengthen our network with service to Budapest and Prague," said American Airlines Vice President of PHL Operations Lakshman Amaranyaka. “These two cities are rich with culture and history, allowing customers to enjoy the world-renowned thermal baths and spas in Hungary. as well as the iconic medieval architecture of the Czech Republic."

Travelers from across the country can enjoy convenient one-stop service to top destinations in Europe and the Middle East with American's industry-leading domestic and short-haul network powering global connectivity. For the third consecutive summer, American is adding new European destinations. In 2024, the airline began service to Nice, France (NCE); Naples. Italy (NAP); and Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH) from PHL. And, earlier this year, the airline launched service to Milan (MXP) and Edinburgh, Scotland (EDI).
“Summer 2026 at PHL is going to be exciting. We can't wait to welcome American's nonstop seasonal routes to Budapest and Prague. We know Philly passengers will be thrilled to fly once again nonstop out of PHL to these popular destinations," said Philadelphia International Airport Chief Executive Officer Atif Saeed. "Thank you to American for continuing to expand their network in Philadelphia including further growing its transatlantic gateway while bringing more nonstop service to our community.'
