Cassandra Williams, Vice President of Finance and Accounting

Cassandra Williams was appointed Vice President of Finance and Accounting in January 2020. She is responsible for assisting in managing all financial and audit matters related to Philadelphia International Airport and Northeast Philadelphia Airport. Ms. Williams is responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies to ensure that the airports take all necessary actions to balance financial requirements. Ms. Williams responsibilities also include keeping the costs of operations at a minimum to continue to properly service the airline community while continuing to invest in airport infrastructure and new initiatives/projects. She first joined the Department of Aviation in 2019 as a Controller, where she was responsible for financial reporting, accounting strategies, and internal controls.

Before joining the Airport, Ms. Williams had the opportunity to serve as the Director of Finance in local governments around the state of Pennsylvania. She started her career as an auditor at a Big Four public accounting firm. Additionally, she has worked in several financial positions at Fortune 500 companies. Ms. Williams holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Rutgers University, a Master of Business Administration from St. John’s University, and a Juris Doctorate from Temple University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), serves as the Recording Secretary for the East Region of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), and is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS), as well as Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA).
