Shane Doud, Director of Government Affairs

Shane Doud is the Director of Government Affairs at PHL and oversees this unit within the airport’s Administration department. Mr. Doud is responsible for legislative advocacy, communication with elected/appointed officials and their staff, policy coordination with state and national trade associations, and interfacing with other regional airport stakeholders.

Before his current role, Mr. Doud was a legislative assistant for Mayor Michael A. Nutter and led several critical legislative efforts during the Mayor’s second term, including the legalization and regulation of short-term rentals through platforms such as Airbnb and VRBO. Mr. Doud is an accredited member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), serves on the Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) Political Affairs Committee, and is a member of LEADERSHIP Philadelphia’s Keepers Program. He holds a BA in Political Science from Penn State University. Mr. Doud is an avid photographer and travel enthusiast. He resides in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia with his wife and son.
