July 2016:The Philadelphia Business Journal presented Airport CEO Chellie Cameron with its 2016 Veterans of Influence Award recognizing distinguished veterans in the Philadelphia region. Ms. Cameron spent 7 years active duty in the U.S. Air Force, achieving the rank of captain.
 
October 2015:The International Municipal Lawyers Association presented Divisional Deputy City Solicitor Joseph F. Messina with the Joseph I. Mulligan, Jr. Distinguished Public Service Award for his work on behalf of PHL and the City of Philadelphia in forging an agreement between the City and Tinicum Township and the Interboro School District.
 
October 2015:Airport General Counsel Joseph Messina received the Joseph I. Mulligan, Jr. Distinguished Public Service Award from the International Municipal Lawyers Association for his work on behalf of PHL and the City of Philadelphia in forging an agreement with Tinicum Township and the Interboro School District.
 
March 2015: Airport Chief Operating Officer Chellie Cameron received the Women Who Are Moving the Nation Award presented by the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials for her contributions to the aviation industry.
 
September 2014:The American Red Cross presented its Preparedness, Health and Safety Award to PHL in recognition of the Airport's longstanding partnership with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the ARC in helping to save lives through the deployment of Automated External Defibrillators throughout the complex and providing life-saving training.
 
May 2014: The Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia presented the Business & Arts Partnership Award to the Airport's acclaimed Exhibitions Program.
 
April 2014:The Airport received an honorable mention in the large hub airport category for the Balchen-Post Award, which the Northeast Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives awards annually to airports that have demonstrated "excellence in the performance of airport snow and ice control."
 
March 2014:Airport Chief of Staff Christine Derenick-Lopez received an Executive Management Award from Philadelphia SmartCEO for "creative management vision, leadership philosophy, innovative strategy and undeniable work ethic.
 
December 2013:  The Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association presented its 2013 Headliner Award to the Airport in recognition of PHL's hospitality and improvement initiatives.
 
December 2013:The Women's Transportation Seminar Philadelphia Chapter presented Philadelphia International Airport with its 2013 Diversity Award in recognition of the Airport's contributions to promoting diversity and inclusion and multi-cultural awareness within the organization as well as supporting the goals and mission of WTS.
 
October 2013: SmartCEO, a community of chief executives and business leaders in the Philadelphia region, presented Airport CEO Mark Gale its prestigious Circle of Excellence award for Hospitality.
 
August 2013: The Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania recognized the Airport at its Annual Recycling & Organics Conference with the Pennsylvania Waste Watcher Award for its outstanding achievements and initiatives in reducing waste destined for landfills and efforts in promoting and encouraging recycling.
 
July 2013: The Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) presented PHL with the Award of the Organization in recognition of PHL’s significant contributions in implementing programs for and fostering growth of disadvantaged businesses, while meeting and exceeding Equal Employment Opportunity goals.

May 2012: The American Society of Civil Engineers presented The Government Service Award to Airport CEO Mark Gale for the Airport's contributions to the engineering communit.
 
December 2011: The Women’s Transportation Seminar named Philadelphia International Airport “Employer of the Year” for its ongoing commitment in the hiring and promoting of women and minorities.
 
December 2011: The Women’s Transportation Seminar named Airport Chief of Staff Christine Derenick-Lopez its “Woman of the Year” for her contributions toward the advancement of women and minorities through programs and opportunities in the transportation field.
 
November 2011: The Airport’s Food & Shops in the B/C Complex is named “Best Specialty Retail Program” in North America by Airports Council International – North America in ACI-NA’s Excellence in Airport Concessions annual contest.
 
November 2011: The PENJERDEL Council presents its Green Vision Award to the Airport in recognition of PHL’s Green initiatives.
 
July 2011: The Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) presents Philadelphia International Airport with the Corporate Citizen Award during COMTO's National Meeting & Training Conference.
 
May 2011: Eight Airport employees receive Five Star Awards for providing exceptional customer service. The awards are presented by the Airport and the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau.
 
April 2011: The Pennsylvania Environmental Council presents the Airport with the Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence.
 
March 2011: Airport Revenue News named PHL "Airport with the Best Concessions Management Team" in the Large Airport Division in the 2011 Airport Revenue News Best Airport & Concessions Awards.
 
March 2011: The Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross presents the Airport with its Partner Award in recognition of the Airport’s participation in health and safety programs.
 
March 2011: The Airport received a Certificate of Appreciation for Environmental Project Management from the Federal Aviation Administration for its outstanding support, technical contributions and assistance to the FAA in completing the Environmental Impact Statement for the Airport's Capacity Enhancement Program.
