PHL’s Chellie Cameron Appointed World Governing Board Regional Advisor

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) CEO Chellie Cameron has been appointed as a Regional Advisor of the Airports Council International (ACI) World Governing Board (WBG). Cameron is one of only two North American advisors. The appointment took effect January 1.

ACI advances the collective interests of, and acts as the voice of the world’s airports and the communities they serve, and promotes professional excellence in airport management and operations. Its mission is to advocate policies and provide services that strengthen commercial airports’ ability to serve their passengers, customers and communities. As an advisor to the World Governing Board, Cameron will use her knowledge and expertise on current issues and emerging aviation trends to contribute to WGB meetings.

“ACI plays a vital role in steering the aviation industry worldwide, and I am honored to serve in this important capacity as a regional advisor,” Cameron said. “These are both exciting and challenging times in our industry and I look forward to working with the ACI community as we collaborate on moving aviation forward.”

Cameron has been involved with ACI World and ACI-North America for many years and serves on numerous boards and advisory groups at the international, national and local level. Her leadership roles in the aviation industry and local community reflect her passion for the role airports play in connecting communities with the world, growing local economies, and developing diverse and inclusive employee teams.

In December 2019, Cameron was named a recipient of the Most Admired CEO Award by the Philadelphia Business Journal. She has been PHL’s CEO since 2017 and a member of the PHL leadership team since 2011. Previously, Cameron spent 13 years with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.
