Reimaging restrooms across every terminal
Restrooms are an essential part of every journey and those spaces should be comfortable, modern, and easy to use.
At Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), the Restroom Renovation Program is an airport-wide initiative to renovate all passenger-facing restrooms and build new facilities across our terminals. Delivered in eight carefully coordinated phases, the program enhances comfort while modernizing infrastructure, improving e ciency, and expanding capacity — all while minimizing impacts on daily operations.
Each renovated space reflects PHL’s commitment to serving travelers of all ages, abilities, and needs, ensuring our facilities are ready for future growth.
From assisted care restrooms and ambulatory and handicap accessible private stalls to all-gender companion care spaces, these improvements provide comfort, privacy, and support to every passenger.
Modern finishes, durable materials, and touchless fixtures improve cleanliness and efficiency. This design helps restrooms remain operational and comfortable, even during peak travel periods.
Additional baby changing areas, built-in step stools, and dedicated lactation suites support traveling families and create a more stress-free experience for parents, caregivers, and young travelers.
Upgraded systems and durable infrastructure make it easier for custodial and operations teams to deliver a safe, clean, and positive airport experience.
