February 2025 Newsletter
Atif Saeed

Hi Team PHL and PNE,

We can be proud of the incredible response that our first responders, local, state and federal agencies and community members have brought to Northeast Philadelphia. As Mayor Parker has said, Philadelphia is resilient and we will recover by working together as "One Philly, a United City."

I’m extremely grateful to our employees for your commitment and dedication to assisting with the response and the investigation. Updates and resources from the city can be found here.

Last week, PHL gained a new international carrier when Aeroméxico announced year-round daily nonstop service starting June 5, between PHL and Mexico City. It connects Philly with another top destination for culture, history and cuisine and fellow FIFA World Cup 2026 host city.

We’re also launching our first ever digital wayfinding kiosks just outside the D/E security checkpoint, across from the soon-to-open Chase Sapphire Lounge. The touchscreens let our guests search for shops, restaurants and other amenities and offer assistance, such as directions, in a variety of languages.

With the Eagles heading to the Super Bowl in New Orleans, many of our airline partners added more flights to accommodate fans traveling to the game. The terminals will be packed with fans – and we’re greeting them with the “PHL Fan Zone” in the D/E Connector, a “Let’s Hunt” neon display in the B/C Food Court, plus tons of gear in our concessions.

These are just some recent highlights. We will be sharing our 2024 passenger counts and other accomplishments from 2024 soon.

Thank you for everything you do every day for our airports.

-Atif
