American Airlines Offers New Winter Getaways from Philadelphia International Airport

Philadelphia, PA- American Airlines is adding new tropical destinations to its winter schedule from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), including new service to Bridgetown, Barbados (BGI) and Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR).

"As Philadelphia's Hometown Airline, we are proud to continue growing our international service from PHL," said Lakshman Amaranayaka, Vice President of PHL Hub Operations. "We know that tropical destinations are in high demand during the cold months of winter and we're proud to continue offering our Philadelphia customers unparalleled access to the Caribbean and Latin America."

BGI flights will operate Saturday-only service on an Airbus A321 starting Nov. 9. LIR flights will begin Dec. 7 with Saturday-only service on a Boeing 737. Tickets on all routes will be available for sale at aa.com or American's mobile app starting May 20.

In total, American is offering eight new routes from Charlotte (CLT), Miami (MIA), New York (JFK) and PHL to the Caribbean and Latin America for the winter. From PHL alone, American will service 14 destinations to the region between December and March.
