Check Out the Division of Aviation’s Black History Month Philly Music, “PHLicks” and TV Show Playlist

Philadelphia has had a significant impact on the entertainment world. The city’s singers, songwriters and musicians have influenced the music industry and artists from around the world. The city has also been the setting for many acclaimed films and TV shows.

Throughout Black History Month, members of the City of Philadelphia’s Division of Aviation cultivated a playlist of some of the city’s influential Black musical performers and a must-see list of Philly “PHLicks” and TV shows set in Philadelphia, featuring hometown actors or having another connection to the city.
