PHL CAO Delicsha Wilds Honored with PBJ Diversity in Business Award

Delicsha AwardCongratulations to Chief Administrative Officer Delicsha Wilds, who was selected as one of Philadelphia Business Journal’s Diversity in Business Award winners for her ongoing commitment to diversity at the Department of Aviation and the City of Philadelphia.

Throughout her 25 years of service to the City, Wilds has strived to strengthen the workforce through diversity. Her legacy can be found at different agencies, including the Department of Prisons, the Office of Property Assessment, and the Department of Aviation.

Wilds has been instrumental in recruiting women, people of color and those with disabilities to find a place in government. Through her impact, she has made equality in staffing her mission by recognizing the contributions that marginalized people bring to organizations when they have the opportunity and environment to thrive.

Last year, Wilds won a Stevie Award for Top Female Executive. The Stevie Awards’ mission is to generate public awareness of excellence in the workplace. The Department of Aviation also won Stevie Awards for achievements in diversity and inclusion; marketing; the guest experience program, and special events.

Wilds is an example of professionalism and personability. Most who work with her find her to be approachable and authentic. Her management style relies heavily on her expectation of her team to shine. She is one who is willing to share her experiences – the successes and the miscues, in hopes that you will receive guidance versus directions.

When asked what she wants people to think when they hear her name, she responded, "Delicsha is sincere and a person of great integrity."
