Frontier Airlines’ First PHL-PHX Flight is Ready for Take-Off

It won’t be long before cold weather arrives in Philadelphia. Taking a break in the warm, sunny desert might be the best prescription for beating the "winter blahs".  And PHL passengers thinking about a Phoenix vacation have another option beginning November 5- for the first time, Frontier Airlines is offering nonstop service between PHL and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX).

"This route is starting at a great time," said Kate Sullivan, PHL’s Deputy Director of Strategic Partnerships. "We know that many of our passengers are looking to head to a warmer climate over the coming months. Phoenix has so much to offer visitors with a variety of interests. Frontier adding PHX to its PHL roster makes this an affordable option for our travelers."

And what can Philadelphia-area travelers look forward to in the Valley of Sun? How about hiking Camelback Mountain or walking the trail in Papago Park? Maybe take in an exhibit at the Heard Museum or Phoenix Art Gallery? And of course, you can take side trips to other nearby cities, like Scottsdale.

"Travelers can really make their own itinerary for the Phoenix region," said Sullivan. "Frontier’s low fares give passengers more opportunity use to take advantage of the area’s attractions once they arrive."
