Summer 2021 Frontier Airlines PHL Routes are on Trend

Sun, sand and outdoor recreation destinations will continue to be the top vacation spots for those that choose to travel this summer. Frontier Airlines is giving PHL passengers two more options, adding Portland, ME (PWM) and Providence, RI (PVD) to their Philadelphia roster beginning in July. PHL-PVD flights will operate three times a week beginning July 12; PHL-PWM service is slated for four times a week beginning July 13.

“Flights to destinations that offer guests access to many outdoor activities, have been some of the most popular routes at PHL in recent months,” said Stephanie Wear, PHL Director of Air Service Development and Cargo Service. “Frontier’s new Philadelphia offerings are right on trend, and we are excited that the airline has added Portland and Providence to its PHL schedule for our passengers.”

In addition to the PWM and PVD flights, Frontier will resume its direct service between PHL and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IHA) on May 13 and Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) on May 14 (both routes will offer three flights per week). in June, the airline will have 23 daily flights from PHL—up almost seven percent from June 2019.

“Frontier is one of our biggest carriers,” said Wear. “Since last summer, the airline has regularly added or resumed routes here, demonstrating that it is committed to making PHL one of its core airports.”
