City of Philadelphia Department of Aviation Announces Appointment of Milton Robinson as Vice President of Facilities Maintenance

PHILADELPHIA –November 12, 2024- Today, the City of Philadelphia Department of Aviation announced the appointment of Milton Robinson as Vice President of Facilities Maintenance at Philadelphia International Airport and Northeast Philadelphia Airport. In his new role, Robinson will oversee the comprehensive maintenance of the airports' expansive facilities, including all landside, terminal, and airfield areas. 

“I am very excited to appoint Milton Robinson as the Vice President of Facilities Maintenance. He has extensive knowledge of our airports and has effectively guided our operations through post-pandemic challenges. He has been instrumental in increasing our employee count and he is always seeking innovative solutions,” said Atif Saeed, CEO of the Department of Aviation. “As we prepare for major events that will bring additional visitors from around the world through our airports, his expertise and strong relationships with the entire operations staff will be invaluable.”

Robinson most recently served as Interim Vice President, where he directed an extensive program aimed at delivering efficient operations and collaborated closely with the airports' stakeholders to foster cohesive partnerships. With 13 years as a member of the Department of Aviation's management team and more than 20 years of management experience in the facilities industry, Robinson has a wealth of experience. He began at the airport as custodial operations manager, was promoted to enterprise asset manager and later served as airport facilities manager.

Robinson holds a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Organization Management. Additionally, he possesses certifications in Project Management and HVAC and is currently pursuing a certification in Construction Management

A dedicated community volunteer, Robinson is particularly proud of his volunteer service coaching Little League football. He has since advanced to becoming an established sports official for high school and college football.
