Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) couldn’t have asked for a better day for its seventh 5K on the Runway on September 14. The bright sun and cool late summer temperature made last year’s rain a distant memory.  

PHL couldn’t have asked for a better crowd, either. Four hundred runners and walkers signed up to “take-off” on Runway 8-26—a complete sell-out. The fastest runners to “land” at the finish line were Dwayne Brown (male), Charlotte Croquette (female), and Lindsay Bodin (nonbinary). The top three male and female runners in seven age groups, ranging from 12-under to 60-over, were also awarded medals. A complete list of winners can be found here.    

Proceeds from the race totaled more than $37,800 and supported Eastwick United, Eastwick Friends and Neighbors Coalition and March of Dimes.
