City of Philadelphia Department of Aviation CEO Atif Saeed Appointed to AAAE Board

City of Philadelphia Department of Aviation CEO Atif Saeed has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). The announcement was made at AAAE’s 95th Annual Conference & Exposition, held in Denver June 3-5.

As CEO, Saeed is responsible for directing the planning, development and administration of all activities of Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and Northeast Philadelphia Airport (PNE) and is the City of Philadelphia’s representative in local, state, national and international aviation affairs. Saeed’s airport industry certifications include AAAE’s Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.).

“It is an honor to be selected to the AAAE Board,” said Saeed. “I am excited to work with individuals from airports of all sizes from across the country on issues that will help shape the future of the aviation industry. Thank you to the AAAE leadership and membership for giving me this opportunity.”

The 20-member AAAE Board provides oversight and guidance on the general direction and priorities of the association.

“AAAE is incredibly fortunate to have such an outstanding slate of airport professionals from across the country who are willing to give of their time and talent to help guide our association forward,” said AAAE President and CEO Todd Hauptli. “They are leaders in every sense of the word, and the recognition they have earned from their peers is a testament to the commitment they have shown to AAAE and the airport profession.”
