The City of Philadelphia Department of Aviation is currently seeking applicants for a number of skilled trades positions at PHL including: 

  • HVAC Mechanic
  • Building Maintenance Mechanic
  • Industrial Electrician 
  • Brick Mason
  • Carpenter 

Interested candidates can apply now through March 29 via the City of Philadelphia Office of Human Resources' website, phila.gov/jobs. Civil service examinations for qualified candidates will be administered by the City.

“These positions are critical for the day-to-day operations of the airport and to make sure our facilities are ready to keep our guests comfortable,” said Tamara Whitfield, Department of Aviation Human Resources Manager. “It is especially important as we prepare for the events of 2026 and the millions of people who will fly to Philadelphia for the special events happening in the city.”
