PHL Introduces Map Highlighting Touchless Health Amenities

PHL’s online map does more than help guests navigate their way through the terminals to their gates. The recently updated tool now highlights the location of touchless health amenities throughout the airport, including hand sanitizing stations and water bottle refilling stations.

“Since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, quite a bit of the guest feedback we have received has been focused on the availability of items like hand sanitizing stations,” said Leah Douglas, PHL’s Director of Guest Experience. “Based on this input, and the fact that the majority of travelers use smartphones, tablets or other electronic devices during their journeys, we felt the most convenient way to tell guests where they can find hand sanitizing, water bottle refilling stations and other key health amenities, was to call them out on our online map.”

To ensure the map is up to date, a team walks through the airport on a regular basis, noting where new equipment has been installed, checking to see if units are functioning and recording units that have been repaired.
