PHILADELPHIA – Low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines will add daily, year-round non-stop service from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) to Cancun (CUN) starting March 1, 2020.
“Cancun is a very popular destination for vacationers,” said Airport CEO Chellie Cameron. “This is great news for travelers in the region who want to visit this beautiful resort. We are pleased that Spirit has added Cancun to their non-stop service from Philadelphia, and we look forward to more flights to more cities.”
Earlier this year, Spirit, the Florida-based airline which frequently touts its “Ultra-Low Fares,” launched service from PHL to San Juan and New Orleans. Cancun will increase Spirit’s destinations from Philadelphia to 12. The airline has been serving PHL since 2013.
Currently, American Airlines and Frontier Airlines offer non-stop service to Cancun.
