This award recognizes individuals who exemplify outstanding service and demonstrate effective communication skills within diverse teams, effectively addressing the needs of passengers.  

Yo! PHL is looking for “Rocky Balboa”

Yo, Adrian! Get your boxing gloves ready-- Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is looking for the region’s best Rocky doppelganger. The champion will be crowned following the unveiling of PHL’s Rocky statue on November 21.

“This is a fun way to celebrate the newest addition to the Airport’s permanent art collection,” said PHL Chief Strategy Officer Cassie Schmid. “Everyone loves Rocky. From the first movie through Creed, there are many versions to choose from- we’re looking for the best of the best.”

TSA and PHL Announce Security Checkpoint Adjustments

PHILADELPHIA- The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), in collaboration Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), will temporarily close the Terminal A-West and Terminal F security checkpoints beginning Wednesday, November 5. The temporary closure of these checkpoints will provide optimal operations at the Terminals A-East, B, C and D/E checkpoints.

The temporary closures are also taking place in conjunction with PHL’s airline partners. Airport staff will be on hand to direct passengers to open checkpoints.

La Colombe Barista Kai Waters received an “Impression Makers” award from Philadelphia International Airport’s (PHL) Employee Recognition Program for going above and beyond serving a guest who visited his restaurant. This award acknowledges employees who consistently demonstrate outstanding customer service in their roles. 

Coming to PHL: Alaska Airlines Daily Seasonal Service to PDX

PHILADELPHIA- Travelers at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) heading to the Pacific Northwest will have another option next year: Alaska Airlines will launch daily service to Portland, Oregon, beginning May 13. The seasonal service to Portland International Airport (PDX), slated for May 13-October 2, 2026, will be Alaska’s third flight at PHL. The airline currently offers year-round flights to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), including twice a day seasonally.
