Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) welcomes approximately 2,000 members of the airport and aviation industries to Philadelphia for the Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) 2026 Annual Conference and Exhibition. PHL is proud to serve as host airport for ACI-NA’s largest conference of the year. 

Labor Day means the unofficial end to Philadelphia’s historic summer of 2026 is here. Before suitcases are put away for the season, approximately 559,000 passengers are expected to travel through Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) between September 3-8 for the holiday—including almost 110,000 anticipated guests on Friday, September 4. 

Strengthening PNE’s secondary runway for the future

Northeast Philadelphia Airport (PNE) supports a range of activity as Pennsylvania’s busiest general aviation hub and the third busiest airport in the commonwealth. Each day, a diverse mix of aircraft, ranging from business jets to general aviation planes, move across the airport’s aprons, taxiways, and runways, including Runway 15-33.  

• American continues to expand its trans-Atlantic gateway at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) with three new European destinations for summer 2027, making next summer its largest-ever schedule between Philadelphia and Europe.
• The airline announced today new nonstop service from PHL to Reykjavik, Iceland (KEF) and Vienna, Austria (VIE), joining previously announced service to Porto, Portugal (OPO).
