April 2026 Newsletter
2026 Events at PHL logo

Spring is here and this year, Philadelphia is making history! From the 250th anniversary of America to a once-in-a-generation lineup of global sporting events, as the gateway to the city where it all began, we are ready—not just to move people, but to welcome the world!

We kicked things off with a special March Madness ribbon-cutting and experience in the terminals. On top of that, we’re really on the roll… literally and figuratively. It was a proud moment to set a Guinness World Record for preparing and serving the longest line of cheesesteaks ever at 1,290 feet spanning the B/C connector!

It has not been all fun and games as the partial federal shutdown impacted TSA employees. Thank you to everyone for your support of your fellow airport employees, patience and collaboration. We have shown that we are a strong airport community.

Our success would not be possible without a workplace that has a strong sense of teamwork and positive employee culture. It shows in the positive results gained in the employee survey. Training sessions are starting this month with managers and supervisors so they can share the results with each employee group and continue making ongoing workplace improvements.

Together, we’re showing the world that that good things start here with a great team!

Monthly Tech Tip: Restart Your Computer Regularly

Many computer issues can be resolved with a simple restart. Restarting your computer helps clear temporary files, refresh system processes, and allows important updates to install properly.

  • Improves overall system performance
  • Helps resolve slow applications or freezing
  • Ensures security and system updates are applied
  • Refreshes network and system connections

A good habit is to restart your computer at least once a week to keep everything running smoothly. If you continue to experience issues after restarting, please contact the IT Helpdesk for assistance.
