What’s in the AtYourGate Bag (or Jawnbot)?

Last October, PHL Food & Shops, the concessions program at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), became the first airport program in the U.S. to launch the integrated meal delivery service for passengers using the Grab mobile food ordering platform and AtYourGate delivery service- now known as OrderAtPHL.  If you’ve traveled through PHL over the past year, you’ve seen the At Your Gate staff in teal shirts hustling through the terminals—sometimes with Jawnbot in tow—delivering food to passengers waiting for their flights. You might have even wondered what they are most likely to be carrying in their insulated bags and robot.

Here’s the breakdown of one year of AtYourGate deliveries at PHL (of course some local favorites are on this list):

Most frequently ordered items:

  • Cheesesteaks
  • Coffee
  • Pretzels
  • Hotdogs
  • Burritos
  • Hamburgers

top five merchants (for delivery):

  1. Chickie’s and Pete’s
  2. Smashburger
  3. Burger King
  4. Currito
  5. Dunkin’

“We knew that AtYourGate would be a hit with airport employees and guests when we started the program last year,” said PHL Food & Shops Marketing and Customer Service Manager Megan O’Connell. “Its success has allowed us to enhance the program’s offerings, such as extending delivery hours, offering curbside delivery at Terminal E Departures and adding more participating merchants, including Duty Free retail.”

Passengers can place their orders from participating PHL Food & Shops merchants using OrderAtPHL.com or via the Grab app. Items can either be picked up by passengers or delivered to their location at the airport.
