Don’t Be Bored When Waiting to Board at PHL

Have some down time before your flight at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)? You won’t be bored before you board—there’s plenty to see and do before takeoff.  

PHL’s convenient layout means passengers can walk from Terminal A-West all the way to  Terminal F without going through the TSA checkpoint more than once. During the walk the 1.5 mile, 45 minute walk between Gates A26-F38, guests will find a  variety of shops, restaurants,  lounges and relaxation spots.  

PHL Food & Shops 

With almost 150 shops and restaurants, plus vending options, PHL Food & Shops’ concessions can accommodate all types of travelers. Looking for gifts, PhiladelphiaGeno`s Steaks souvenirs, designer clothing or Duty Free?  You’ve got it—along with vending machines filled with LEGOs and Kylie beauty products. Want to try a cheesesteak?  You can sample one from every terminal at PHL. Take a look at all of the options throughout the airport on the online map .  

Lounges and Relaxation Spots 

American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta, British Airways and American Express all have lounges at PHL. To relax and recharge, passengers can also visit Be Relax Spa in Terminal C and choose anything from a quick 10-minute massage to a full body treatment, or Minute Suites in Terminal B to book a private suite and catch up on sleep.  

PHL Exhibitions Program 

Looking for artistic inspiration or entertainment? PHL’s award-winning Art Program features the work of artists from across the Philadelphia region in all of the terminals. You can learn more about the PHL Art Program online and on its Instagram account, @PHLAirportArt

Art Puzzle ChallengeAnother initiative of the Art Program is the PHL Art Puzzle Challenge. This is a fun and rewarding way to learn and interact with the airport’s art exhibits. The challenge starts at the B-C Connector and takes guests to different exhibits to solve the puzzles. Once completed correctly, guests will receive a PHL art pin.  

For those who prefer to spend their time with a good book, PHL`s  “Take a Book, Leave a Book” library in Terminal A-West allows passengers to leave books they have finished reading or grab something new to read while waiting for or when onboard their flight.  

New this holiday season (through January 15) is the first-ever Pure Leaf Holiday Oasis Lounge in the D-E Connector. In addition toPure Leaf Lounge interacting with Pure Leaf brand ambassadors for giveaways during peak travel times, guests can discover their next holiday book (curated by Reese’s Book Club); scan the QR codes to watch interviews with each author to learn more about their incredible stories while unwinding in the cozy lounge. 

PHL also hosts numerous events and activities each month. Don`t be surprised to see live exotic animals from the Philadelphia Zoo, Wagging Tails Brigade therapy dogs in the terminals looking for hugs and pats on the head and live artists demonstrations.
