City of Philadelphia and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) officials opened a new 1,900-square foot restroom set, located in the baggage claim area of Terminal A East. City of Philadelphia Chief of Staff Tiffany Thurman was on hand to cut the ribbon on March 3.

With just two months remaining until the May 7 federal REAL ID enforcement deadline, officials from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), the Philadelphia International Airport, American Automobile Association (AAA), and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) are encouraging Pennsylvanians to prepare now to ensure they can fly domestically without disruptions

As the Philadelphia region gets ready to host the nation’s 250th birthday and matches for two major international soccer championships, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is launching a new, multi-year partnership with the Philadelphia Union.

PHILADELPHIA– Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) welcomed almost 30.9 million passengers in 2024 — an increase of almost 10 percent over 2023 and the most guests who have passed through the airport’s terminals since its record year of 2019.  Over 3.8 million of those passengers traveled to and from international destinations.

Employees from the Department of Aviation came together on Monday, February 10, to celebrate their fellow co-workers for the annual P.R.I.D.E. Awards ceremony. Employees who retired in 2024 were also acknowledged, along with others who achieved 15, 25, and 35 years of service with the City of Philadelphia.
