Philadelphia International Airport's (PHL) Capital Development team recently completed phase three of the airport's Restroom Renovation Program. This phase of the multi-year, multi-million dollar program focused on the restrooms at Gates F-31 and F-25, Terminals D and E ticketing and Terminal D baggage claim.

PHL Enhances the Guest Experience by Updating its Restrooms | PHL.org

As part of its continuous commitment to enhancing the guest experience, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) has been modernizing its 48 sets of passenger-facing restrooms since 2012. Goals of the renovation program include improving quality and comfort, accommodating more travelers and implementing sustainability measures. The most recent sets of restrooms to reopen after being updated include those near Gate F31, Terminal D Bag Claim and Terminal D Ticketing.

PHL Modifies Restroom Renovation Program to Tackle COVID-19 | PHL.org

More often than not, restrooms are the first place airport guests visit when arriving and their last stop before departing - waiting for a flight and not feeling comfortable using the restroom is not ideal. At PHL, our answer is go right ahead. 

PHL is in the midst of a multi-million-dollar Restroom Renovation Program to modernize 48 sets of passenger-facing restrooms, including male and female washrooms and all-gender assisted care washrooms. The program also includes ancillary functions, like janitor’s closets and storage; Service Animal Relief Areas (SARA); lactation suites; quiet spaces (for meditation, reflection and prayer); benches with device charging spaces; and assisted care spaces incorporating amenities, like changing tables. Following the COVID-19 outbreak, enhancements were made to cleaning protocols for the health, safety and peace of mind of guests.
