Supporting moms & babies in meaningful ways.
Parenthood doesn’t pause for travel, and neither do the needs that come with it. Quiet moments can be hard to find and having access to safe, private spaces for nursing is essential.
At Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), we’re expanding our private, dedicated mothers’ nursing rooms across the airport. These rooms are thoughtfully designed to meet those moments with care, offering comfortable, supportive spaces to breathe, nurse, or regroup with comfort and dignity.
Shaped by community feedback, they’re grounded in empathy, inclusivity, and making sure passengers feel cared for and supported through every step of the journey.

Quiet, private suites across the airport with comfortable seating, power outlets for pumping devices, and secure access. These spaces provided calm and soothing environments for parents and babies.
Private, freestanding lactation pods with lockable doors, seating, outlets, adjustable lighting, airflow, and white noise for privacy.
Private suites for travelers with the first 30 minutes free for nursing or pumping.
Recognized for inclusive design
PHL’s commitment to supporting traveling mothers has been recognized with the March of Dimes Mission Award, honoring the airport’s expansions of mothers’ rooms with inclusive, community-informed design.
