Recently retired British Airways Customer Experience Agent Steve VanVechten received the “Impression Makers” award in Philadelphia International Airport’s (PHL) Employee Recognition Program. This award recognizes customer-facing employees who provide direct customer service to passengers.

Elliot Lewis Landscape Maintenance Supervisor Barbara Hatty recently received the “Unsung Heroes” award in Philadelphia International Airport’s (PHL) Employee Recognition Program. This award honors employees who work behind the scenes and are not typically recognized for their work. Although they do not work directly with guests, their effectiveness has a major impact on the airport and guest experience.   

City Announces Update Regarding Philadelphia International Airport’s Leadership with Chellie Cameron’s Departure as CEO

Mayor Jim Kenney announced today that, with Rochelle “Chellie” Cameron’s departure from the City, Keith Brune will become Acting CEO of the Division of Aviation, which includes Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and Northeast Philadelphia Airport (PNE). A national search will be conducted to identify a permanent successor. Earlier on Thursday, the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia announced that Cameron would become the organization’s next President and CEO. Her last day with the City of Philadelphia will be June 24, 2022.
